I burned my tongue today
Too hot but I drank it anyway
I should have known better
Yes I can accept that
But I had to wake up some how
What are you doing up anyhow
You could have slept in late
And it's too damn early
I thought I could handle it
But I really can't handle it now

Is that I'm still learning
Each and every day
Your parents didn't have it figured out                                            Although it looked that way
I thought that I'd get it
I hate to admit it
But I'm still growing up

I got these bills to pay
But you want a video game
And I'm not going to lie
I kinda want it too
The foundation has a crack
And How do I fix a flat
The basement's going to flood
Have you seen my hammer
Maybe I'll just tape it up
Can it wait until tomorrow
